Proper hydration = health
This summer, remember to hydrate yourself. Walking, camping, sunbathing or playing sports are all summer activities in the sun quickly dehydrate the body, which affects your dental health. Drinking more water produces more saliva, which fights bacteria in the mouth and helps reduce the risk of tartar, cavities or gingivitis. Good hydration begins by making good choices; it’s better to drink water than sweet or sports drinks, as they contain a lot of sugars and acids that are damaging to your teeth.
